On a english-test a few weeks ago, we were going to write a text about the Ku - Klux - Klan with the film "Mississippi Burning" as the main source.
The Ku - Klux - Klan as a clan where all the members hate black people, and think that they are worth less than white people. Whenever a black man said anything against a white man, the black man got tortured, or hanged, and at worst could be killed in any horrible way that's unthinkable for people that have not experienced it.
In Mississippi black people were killed and tortured in front of their own families in horrible ways. Their houses were burnt down, and racism lead the state. And all this was bacause the residents believed that the Ku - Klux - Klan did the right thing when they was threaded black, and non-white people worse than white people. A black man's shop prices were more expensive than the white man's shop prices. An many stores black people were not even allowed to come inside the store. If a black person owned a store, the Ku - Klux - Klan hang a sign outside on the door. It said "Don't buy things here, a black man owns the store".
That made the economy for the store, and the man, really bad. Especially when the store prices were so high. All black people had difficulties with living and getting jobs because no white people wanted to give them a job.
But eventually the residents stopped trusting the Ku - Klux - Klan, and stopped with the racism, witch is good.
